Recruiting with freedom and focus — Justus on working remotely with impact

„The start was definitely very good. I had my first call, got a quick walkthrough of how everything works — and made my first hire in the very first month.“
Justus Windwehr, Freelance Headhunter
How was it to start recruiting on juucy?

The start was definitely very good. At my previous employer, there were some issues with the workload, so I had to change jobs. This opportunity came at exactly the right time. I had my first call and was immediately shown how to get started and how the platform works. I began working right away, and my first hire came in during the very first month. So overall, it was a very positive experience.

How is your overall experience on the platform?

So far, my overall experience has been very good. I’ve already been able to make three hires in a short period of time. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to receive feedback from clients, but overall, I’ve had a great experience. You can always see exactly where each candidate is in the process, which gives recruiters who are managing multiple positions a great overview.

What is your favorite feature?

I’d say my favorite feature is the chat function — it’s really helpful to be able to reach out directly to the client whenever I have questions. I also really like that you can see when the client has opened a candidate’s CV, because that gives you a good idea of when to expect feedback. That’s definitely a great feature.

What is the largest benefit for you as a recruiter?

I’m a digital nomad, so being able to work from anywhere is definitely a huge advantage. I can also manage my own time freely, which is very important to me.

What suggestions would you give new recruiters on juucy?

I’d say patience is key. My first hire happened quite quickly, but that’s not always the case for everyone. It’s best not to send just one or two candidates — try to submit several, maybe four or five per position. Once you’ve done that, you can move on to the next role and do the same. Usually, by the time you’ve sent candidates for a few positions, you’ll already start receiving feedback on the first ones. So the best approach is to keep several roles open at once and actively work on multiple searches in parallel.
